Fans of the beloved sitcom “Full House” take note: The painted Victorian lady that graced our television screens for eight seasons during the late 1980s and early 1990s is now on the market for $6.5 million, listed by The Swann Group of Coldwell Banker Realty in Pacific Heights. While the show’s interiors were filmed on a set, the iconic exterior – a historic Charles Lewis Hinkel residence built in 1883 and set in Lower Pacific Heights – was brilliantly refashioned in 2019 by world-renowned architect Richard Landry. Landry left the exterior’s intricate moldings, bay windows, and a brick stoop largely untouched – but reimagined the 3,700 square-foot interiors as transitional in style.

Landry, who has long expressed admiration for the way European architects blend classical façades with contemporary interiors, decided to fuse period details with contemporary elegance in the 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath home on Broderick Street. The result is a home that feels timeless and sophisticated. In terms of layout, his design team drew inspiration from the show’s interior set. As William Mungall, an architect with Landry Design Group, revealed to Architectural Digest: they “opted to open up the living space to feature the staircase for dramatic entrances and combining several small rooms into a large kitchen featuring a walk-around island similar to the show.”

The kitchen – a stunner by any definition – offers a walk-in pantry, custom cabinetry, a Calacatta Oro countertop island, a wine fridge, and state-of-the-art Viking appliances. The Landry Design Group’s eye for detail is evident throughout.

In the bedroom spaces, a harmonious interplay of soft neutral tones, layered textiles, and artisan touches create serenity. The top floor primary suite, for example, serves as the ultimate retreat with a gas fireplace, window alcove, walk-in closet, and en suite bath, while overlooking the leafy street. Landry’s team envisioned an enchanting children’s room with inspiring bird wallpaper and wood paneling. There’s also a guest bedroom overlooks the garden.

The lower floor offers a flexible space perfect for entertaining or a private guest suite, complete with a full bath, walk-in closet, den, wet bar and laundry room. A gym located inside the 2-car garage offers a convenient and private space for fitness. The English garden completes the home’s picture-perfect charm.

The historic Victorian appears to be particularly suited for the collector who has an appreciation for impeccable design, provenance and TV nostalgia. Further enhancing its appeal on that front, the real estate offering comes with the option of securing handprints in concrete stones from the “Full House” cast, including Bob Saget and John Stamos. As listing agent Rachel Swann told AD, these handprints represent “epic memories of a beloved family that graced our TV screens for years.”
